Our feet carry the weight of our body and are essential in daily living

Shoes play a vital role in supporting our feet as well as protecting them from external hazards. Choosing shoes that fit well is an important part of caring for your feet. Finding the right fit may mean you have to try a few different styles to accommodate your individual foot shape.
People who have difficulty fitting footwear due to an injury or medical condition may require shoes with extra depth or width. Some people may require orthoses (inserts). We can source shoes that are perfect for your unique needs.

Foot biomechanics is an important contributing factor in the development of pain and injury in the feet, ankles, knees and legs

Our Biomechanical Gait Assessments provide a comprehensive evaluation of the structure, alignment and function of your feet and legs while standing and during walking. The information gained enables us to recommend the most effective treatment program for your specific problem.
The assessment process may include slow motion video analysis, joint flexibility and muscle strength testing and functional assessment. This individualised approach provides targeted treatment that encourages prompt recovery from injury and relief of painful symptoms.

Correct assessment of a sports injury is the crucial first step on the road to recovery

Our approach to treating foot sporting injuries includes 'offloading' where we aim to facilitate healing through strapping and activity modification; 'tissue healing' where we apply techniques to expedite healing such as dry needling and deep tissue massage; and rehabilitation where we focus on balance and strengthening exercises.
Treatment may also include biomechanical assessment to review the way your foot moves and see how this may be contributing to your injury. We then look at modifying these movements via footwear changes, strength and conditioning programs, gait retraining or orthotics.

Custom shoe inserts designed specifically for your feet to help reduce pain and injury risk

Custom foot orthotics are shoe inserts designed to support the natural shape of the foot, align the ankle and improve posture and foot function in general. Our podiatrists prescribe orthotics to treat a range of foot, ankle, and leg conditions.
We prescribe your orthotics using advanced computer-aided methods. An initial bio mechanical assessment is conducted before a 3D scan is taken of your foot. This allows us to fine-tune and manufacture your custom foot orthotic prescription with computer-aided precision and repeatability.

Footcare and treatment for all members of your family

Our podiatrists are skilled in treating all foot conditions across all age groups. We provide paediatric assessments for children, general nail care and treatment, foot and lower limb wound assessments, sports injury management, corn, callous and verruca removal and treatment,
footwear advice and fittings, custom orthotics, diabetic foot assessments, ingrown nail treatment and surgery, through to treatment for the elderly who may be concerned with fall prevention techniques and management.
